Please find attached information about the next Information and Support Sessions for Parents and Carers who are concerned about their pre-teen or teenager’s Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health.
Each monthly session has a different topic focus and there is an opportunity for parents and carers to meet other parents and supportive professionals in a safe relaxed environment. Parents and carers of 11-18 year olds from in and around Edinburgh are welcome to book to attend any of the sessions. This is a reminder to all students on exam leave.
If you are attending school to sit an exam, attend an SQA masterclass or are studying in school you MUST wear your full school uniform.
If revising in school or attending a masterclass you must sign in at the school reception.
Due to an incident of vandalism in the Easter holidays, we have been closing the playground out of hours. We understand this has inconvenienced residents and we do not wish them to suffer as a result of what has happened. We have asked our security officers to leave this gates open. We will be monitoring the situation and considering how security in the playground could be improved.

Edinburgh World Heritage: World Heritage Skills Workshop for 16 – 24-year olds
As part of Scotland’s 2018 Year of Young People, Edinburgh World Heritage will be running a workshop to share important heritage-related skills with young people from all backgrounds.
If you are aged between 16 to 24, and live in Edinburgh or the Lothian area, you are invited to join us for a fun skills workshop where you will learn about World Heritage storytelling, multi-media digital production and traditional building skills such as stonemasonry with our team of experts.
Places are limited, so please apply soon, as we will allocate spaces on a first-come-first-served basis.

Parent Council is an opportunity for parents and carers to discuss how the school is run, to raise general issues, and to think about how we can help to make the school a better place.
All parent and carers are welcome.
To avoid any confusion, Parent Council is different from “parent consultations”, where you meet with teachers to discuss your child’s progress.
The next meeting of Parent Council is on Wednesday 28th March, 6.30pm-8pm.
We will be in Social Subjects 1 classroom (see below for how to get there). There will be tea, coffee and biscuits.
If you need help with translation, please let us know in good time. We can’t guarantee to help, but we will try.

SAAS Talk Friday 20th April 08:50 – 09:40 for students but also open to parents.
2nd session available 09:40 –10:30 for parents.
If your child is leaving this session to go to university or college to study at HNC/HND, the school are hosting a talk for students on Friday 20th April. We may be able to offer a 2nd session for parents immediately after the student session .
