Drummond Community High School House System
At Drummond Community High School, each young person is a member of one of our three houses- Annandale (A classes), Bellevue (B classes) and Claremont (C classes). Our house system allows ease of communication, universal and targeted supports and ensures that each young person can build positive relationships with their key adults.
- The first point of contact for each house is the Pupil Support Leader.
- Each Pupil Support Leader is supported by a Teacher of Support for Learning.
- The Support for Learning Leader has an overview of all pupils from S1 to S6.
- Depute Head Teachers act as Year Heads and support their year groups from S1 to S6.
Personal & Social Education
Pupil Support Leaders (also known as Guidance teachers) plan and deliver the Personal and Social Education (PSE) programme which all pupils undertake once per week from S1 to S6. The programme covers a wide range of contemporary issues and aims to develop pupils as responsible citizens, confident individuals, effective contributors and successful learners. To enhance the programme we engage with a number of external organisations that enrich the programme such as Skills Development Scotland, Youth Philanthropy Initiative, MCR Pathways, Police Scotland, LEAPS, UCAS, Rock Trust, Fast Forward and Edinburgh College.
