URGENT COMMUNICATION – Severe weather warning
Please see the attached letter from Jackie Reid (Service Director for Education and Chief Education Officer). All City of Edinburgh Council schools will be closed on Friday 24 January, due to the red weather warning issued by the Met Office.
Drummond Community High School pupils should stay at home on 24 January 2025 and access lessons online using their school iPad. Class teachers will post work on Teams. All pupils should know how to access Teams, but reminders are available on our school website here: https://drummondhigh.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/teams-how-to-guide.pdf
Teachers will endeavour to be available to pupils during their scheduled lesson time via the ‘chat’ function on Teams.
Guidance staff can be contacted by email if you have any concerns about your child’s wellbeing during this school closure. Contact details are shown on the school website here: https://drummondhigh.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/image.png.
The safety of our young people, families and staff is paramount and we hope that everyone stays safe and well tomorrow. Any updates will be posted on the Council website: https://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/emergencyclosures
