Public Engagement – Equality Outcomes – Equality Diversity and Inclusion Framework
The Equalities Team is engaging with the public to help shape our Council’s future Equality Outcomes 2025-2026 and wider Equality Diversity and Inclusion Framework for 2026-2030.
• We are asking people what it’s like for them using and working with Council services.
• We want to make sure that people who live, work, study, and visit Edinburgh get the opportunity to give us their feedback.
• Please complete the survey at www.edinburgh.gov.uk/equalityoutcomes – survey closes on 1st June 2025.

RE: SCHOOL CLOSURE Update (MONDAY 27TH JANUARY)
Following further roof inspection today, the school will be open as usual to all pupils and staff on Tuesday 28 January. We look forward to seeing everyone back at Drummond tomorrow.
URGENT – SCHOOL CLOSURE MONDAY 27TH JANUARY
Due to the need for further checks on the school roof as a result of damage caused on Friday by Storm Eowyn, Drummond Community High School will be fully closed to pupils and staff on Monday 27 January. We are expecting contractors on site tomorrow and will update the community as soon as possible during the day.
Pupils should stay at home tomorrow, follow their normal timetable and access lessons online using their school iPad. Class teachers will post work on Teams and will be available to pupils during their scheduled lesson time via the ‘chat’ function.
Guidance staff can be contacted by email if you have any concerns about your child’s wellbeing during this school closure. Contact details are shown on the school website HERE:

DEVELOPING THE YOUNG WORKFORCE
DYW, a key partner, supports the school in establishing connections with various industries. This initiative encourages young people to identify and explore opportunities that help them feel more informed and inspired about their post-school options, while also equipping them with the tools they will need to seize these opportunities.
